Cambodia's Crown for Charity!
Our Group MD's wife is an avid charity fundraiser and spends a lot of time raising money for various pursuits including local Essex hospice, St Clare's. Currently blessed with more time on her hands, Linda has decided to travel across the world and trek a challenging 95k over 5 days! Alloy Fabweld were only too pleased to sponsor this epic trip with all monies going directly to wonderful St Clare's Hospice.
The trekking begins from Siem Reap, walking through green rice paddies, farmland, villages jungles and mountains. Sites to note throughout the 5 days are Kulen mountain, Phnom Kulen, Beng Mealea, Big Buddha, the River of 1000 Lingas, Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom.
The group will be camping throughout in hot, humid conditions with the help of a strong support team, local guides and crew.
This South-East Asian region is not only rich in history, but in beautiful landscapes and the rural way of life, little has changed for centuries. The famous smiles of this remarkably friendly country will carry the trekkers on to their finish point at Angkor Wat, where they end their walking exploring the ancient capital of the mighty Khmer Empire!
